A huge thank you to Colin and Joanne — their incredible guidance and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep showing when I was ready to hang it up. From hearing judges say, “Oh, I’ve never seen one of these before or please leave the ring, the Belgian Shepherds are coming in now,” to proudly standing my ground and educating others including judges, their sage advice made all the difference.
They taught me that advocating for my rare breed is part of the journey — and because of them, it’s become a much more rewarding and less stressful one.
